I finished season 11 last night, and I thought it was particularly stellar, especially episode 9. The yogurt task followed by the "look as different as possible in four photos" task made me laugh so hard. And Mike Wozniak's final prize task contribution is my favorite thing anyone has ever brought in. If you don't already listen to the Off Menu podcast with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, I could not recommend it more.
My husband and I still sing Rosalind’s A Nightmare (series 5, episode 8) to each other on a regular basis and it makes me wheeze with laughter every time
Brace yourself! In no particular order my favourite series are 7, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. It’s a combination of my favourite contestants or moments where I squealed with laughter that make them winning series. I would recommend TM New Zealand too. It’s got the sweetness of the U.K. but a bit smuttier! 😉
ooh great! I've watched all of those except for 13 and 14! I just started 14 last week. I also started NZ1 but didn't get very far because I was having cognitive dissonance. I'll give it another shot. Thank you!
There’s also two Taskmaster Podcasts - Ed Gamble’s main one and Jack Bernhardt and Jenny Eclair’s the people’s podcast https://www.taskmaster.tv/podcast lots of great interviews with contestants and people who work on the program.
I have rewatched the show so many times. It feels like something that should have been invented before but hasn’t. The concept is exceptional and the balance between the selection of guests per season exquisite. I think the real success is that I couldn’t tell you my favourite series…it’s that good.
I'm not sure I've ever laughed as much at a tv show as I did when Noel Fielding's camouflage turned out to be him shrunken into the fruit bowl disguised as a banana 😅
Taskmaster is truly great, and so rewatchable. One of my favourite moments is from series 1 - Romesh’s ‘Balloon Wizard’ video.
That song is in my head more often than it has a right to be!

Romesh’s episode of Off Menu is an all-time classic

she jumps quite well for a woman of her age!
Do we strike you?!

Can’t recommend trying out NZ again enough. Season 2 is one of my favourite seasons of any iteration, it’s unhinged.
I would maybe finish all U.K. and then hit NZ. It takes a little while but you do get used to the switch.
That photo of Mel never fails to make me laugh, esp imagining the M&M stuck up her nose after.
I think you’ve got a typo in your Solid Sound date! It’s not until late June (and I’m crossing fingers you’ll be there on the Friday?!?).
oof, thank you so much! Yes, my conversation with Jeff Tweedy is on Friday (but I might be doing some other stuff there, as well…)
Excellent! I'm only there Friday - really looking forward to it!

Series 5, Episode 8: “I’m always seeings you [do cool stuff]”

There are also Taskmasters from other countries. New Zealand is superb.
Taskmaster - season 11 is (one!) favourite! Mike Wozniak trying to squeeze out a fart on a plane as a solo task was MAGICAL.
Taskmaster got me though COVID, working in a hospital. I know this sounds overblown, but it’s silliness feels straight up sacred to me.
Sam Campbell and Lucy Beaumont are the GOATs of TM for their absolutely cuckoo bananas brains
